Compliance Administrator

Full Time, Permanent, 37.5 hrs per Monday - Friday

Salary up to £22,000 per annum
Mears Housing Management Division in Basingstoke provide accommodation to essential British Government workers.

We source properties from the private rental market, work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure accommodation meets requirements and we manage all issues, repairs and maintenance throughout the lifetime of an occupant's stay.

This is an exciting time to join the Division and be part of an ongoing development strategy working on key Contract opportunities.

**About the Role: As a Compliance Administrator, you will be working alongside Government departments, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support for our client, who understand the importance of working together to provide safe accommodation for our occupants throughout the UK.


You will be working within the housing sector and it will be your responsibility to complete all health and safety checks on the properties including Gas safety, Asbestos safe, all Data is correct and the properties are compliant.


Your main duties will be:

  • To chase for Outstanding Safety Certificates e.g. Electric and Gas
  • To arrange with our occupants to gain access to properties for any Health & Safety checks radon, asbestos, gas, electric, Fire assessments, etc
  • To remind Letting Agents/Landlords of their legal responsibilities
  • To remind occupants of their responsibilities regarding access and ensure they test their own carbon monoxide monitors and smoke alarms
  • To help retain high percentage achieved for Monthly Reports to Client
  • Update and maintain written and IT records to evidence outcomes and current status. Chase and obtain copies of the Safety Certificate and upload onto System and ensure any major works have been carried out to ensure the safety of the occupants.
  • Deliver quality reporting as requested by manager, evidencing risk and appropriate actions to resolve. Work to reduce the number of expired/missing certificates
  • To liaise with other departments to ensure that reports are legally compliant
  • To carry out a Health & Safety and data audit on all new properties and provide feedback to colleagues, Letting Agents, Landlords and our Health & Safety Executive
**Role Criteria: - Previous administration experience

  • Organisational skills
  • Good Written & Verbal Communication Skills
  • IT Literate
  • Good Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships
  • UK full driving license
