Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly manner
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and department/office
  • Transferring calls as necessary
  • Taking and ensuring messages are passed to the appropriate staff member in time
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedure's and controlling access via the reception desk
  • Follow Fire and Safety procedures by ensuring visitors sign in and out of the building (monitor logbook)
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing and photocopying.
  • Attend any mandatory training required, and any additional training that assists further with your job role.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good telephone communication etiquette
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Active listener
  • Empathy and passion towards residents and their families
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to handle office equipment (e.g. the telephone system, printer, scanner)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and procedures
This is a part-time position with competitive pay.
