Are you passionate about creating an inclusive and engaging student experience? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our temp team as a Student Engagement Coordinator.

In this role, you will work closely with the Student Engagement & Success Manager to plan and execute Welcome 2024 initiatives, ensuring a seamless transition for new students.

You will act as secretary to the College's Student Transitions Board, coordinate the 2024 survey insights and collaborate with various teams to design and deliver induction activities.

MAIN DUTIES

  • To support the Student Engagement & Success Manager with planning for Welcome 202
  • To act as secretary to the College's Student Transitions Board, scheduling meetings, preparing agenda, taking and circulating minutes and monitoring actions allocated across the College by the Board.
  • To ensure that insights from the 2023 survey are shared with relevant colleagues across the college and are used to inform planning for Welcome 202
  • To work closely with members of the Student Success team to design and deliver the 2024 survey.
  • To coordinate and run, in partnership with the Student Engagement & Success Manager and wider Student Success team, a range of Welcome, Induction and Transition activities including Welcome Week.
  • To liaise with colleagues from other Professional Services teams on the preparation of materials related to Welcome 202
  • To liaise with key stakeholders in the College's academic departments and Goldsmiths' Student Union in order to ensure that Welcome, Induction and Transition activities are coordinated and compliment oneanother.
  • To coordinate the work of Student Ambassadors and Student Community Leaders during Welcome Week.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Higher Education Experience: Experience in coordinating student engagement or transition activities. Experience in Course Management would be preferable.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Data Analysis: Understanding of survey data analysis and experience with survey tools.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and students.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively and independently as part of a team.
  • Adaptability: Capacity to thrive in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in meeting minutes, communication materials and event coordination.
  • Student Focus: Dedication to enhancing the student experience and promoting engagement and success.
  • Initiative: Proactive problemsolving and identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility: Availability for occasional evening and weekend work during Welcome Week and other activities.
  • Event Management: Experience in coordinating largescale events or induction activities (desirable).
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to supervise or coordinate student ambassadors or volunteers (desirable).
