This role is being advertised by Savills Management Resources (SMR) a wholly owned entity of Savills (UK) Limited but a separate employing entity which is not accredited by Real Living Wage Foundation.

Purpose of the Role


The direct line management and supervision of all cleaning and environmental services teams [including back of house waste operatives], ensuring all cleaning & environmental services are delivered in line with both client and company objectives, and providingthe full scope of services.

Focusing on the team's performance to maintain the highest standards of cleaning in all areas of the building.

As Cleaning Manager, you will have previous experience in a cleaning environment and managing a team.

You will have a strong Health and Safety background,strong people management skills, good interpersonal skills and the ability to implement and adhere topolicies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:
Working withing the Framework of The Savills Principles [The 5 E's]

EXPECT

  • Ensure compliance with all internal procedures, Cleaning & Environmental ISO9001 procedures, forms, local site processes, including site Assignment Instructions and the Cleaning & Environmental Servces Operations Manual
  • Ensure compliance with all external bodies including enforcement agencies and auditory bodies.
  • Developing and implementing cleaning policies, protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure the overall effective and efficient delivery of cleaning & environmental services, including a focus on delivery a exceptional customer experience for our visitors and stakeholders.
  • Compilation and distribution of duty rotas ensuring all shifts are covered and service delivery is not impacted by absence.
  • Ensure time sheets are correctly compiled, on schedule, for audit, invoicing and pay purposes.
  • Manage the cleaning & environmental budget (including all machinery / consumbles / materials and where applicable 3rd party contracts), in conjunction with the Business Manager / Facilities Manager / Centre Manager
  • Ensure a robust and effective stock management system in relation to all consumables.
  • Ensure that all machinery repairs and fault reports are dealt with immediately and all required logs are kept up to date.
  • Create reports for site and central management on Cleaning & Environmental services where applicable.
  • Accountable for the recruitment, training and supervision of Cleaners/Environmental Services Assistants.
  • Complete annual development reviews (PDRs) on all members of staff, ensuring all such records are correctly updated and recorded for future reference.
  • Ensure all Cleaning & Environmental staff are trained in line with statutory and internal requirements [as stipulated withing the Cleaning & Environmental Services Operations Manual], ensuring a training matrix is kept up to date with all trainingdelivered and scheduled, helping to identify any skills gaps within the team.
  • Ensure all staff undertake thorough inductions into their positions in accordance with local site induction plans and central induction policies.
  • To review and process all incidents using the the site incident reporting system, to conduct investigations and to produce regular incident reporting information as required on the cleaning workstream.
  • Report any significant incidents, [Environmental or Health & Safety] to the site management team
  • Ensure all regulations both statutory and site led in relation to Health & Safety; Environmental and Quality Procedures are followed.
  • To ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with the relevant H&S regulations, carrying out any necessary training and tool box talks to ensure that your teams are fully compliant.
  • Coordinate and assist in any emergency responses, i.e. evacuation, incident management.
  • Daily monitoring of cleaning standards throughout the Front and Back of House areas ensuring team proactively respond to all tasks as required.
  • Investigate and resolve issues as per the Site Assignment instructions and Company Employee Handbook.
  • Effectively manage employment relations issues including absence management, performance development reviews (PDRs), disciplinary issues, etc., in accordance with Company personnel procedures and in collaboration with your HR Advisor/HR BusinessPartner.
  • Undertake weekend and late night working as dictated by the needs of the business, and as part of the Centre's Duty Manager Rota.

ENVIRONMENT

  • Explore sustainable opportunities where possible in conjunction with the site teams and central In House Cleaning & Environmental division leads.
  • Work collaboratively and support central cleaning & environmental innitiatives where applicable.
  • Create a motivated culture within the team, ensuring a true one team approach.

ENGAGE

  • Attend and contribute where applicable to site meetings, In-House support & assurance visits and regional cluster calls.
  • Liaise with contractors as required.
  • Ensure site and central policies, procedures and business updates are cascaded down to cleaning and environmental operatives [where appropriate] via a solid communication strategy.
