8 Holland Street is a gallery, design store and a growing interior design studio. Specialising in European art and design from 1900, alongside objects and têxtiles from across the globe.

We work across residential and commercial projects in the UK:
within city, coastal and country locations.

The design studio is based out of our London Gallery with a second gallery in Bath and more on the horizon.

We are looking for a highly organised, hands on Gallery Assistant to join the team within our Bath gallery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily running and upkeep of the gallery
  • Maintaining website inventory; updating and inputting accurate stock data
  • Use specialist product knowledge and client database to generate sales.
  • First point of contact for visitors/clients, providing a high standard of warmth and professionalism throughout welcoming guests and engagement
  • Assist colleagues with admin tasks to ensure smooth running of daytoday business

Key Skills:

  • Previous high end retail experience in a clientfacing role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Great computer literacy skills
  • Selfstarter with a positive, resourceful and team focused approach to work
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and communicate well at all levels
  • Genuine appreciation and interest in contemporary design
  • Wellpresented

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous gallery experience
  • Experience in website management
  • Creative

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary:
From £12.50 per hour
