Job Description

This role offers you the opportunity to work with test automation for industrial products, allowing you to enhance your knowledge in new test development environments. Additionally, you will have the chance to advance your career by collaborating on test automations and expanding your expertise.

As a key team member reporting to the Global Test Automation Manager, you will mainly focus on supporting the creation of a flexible, scalable, and secure industrial IoT platform for Rotork's next generation actuator platform.

Your responsibilities will include developing essential test infrastructure, executing automated/manual test scripts, and contributing to the test automation framework. Moreover, you will work closely with other teams to address issues related to product development and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will be a team player eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and products to improve their skill set.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • Essential Competencies
    • Experience in developing automated test solutions using various test development environments such as Python, LabVIEW, or TestStand.
    • Creating mechanical and electrical test interfaces.
    • Designing and developing test PCBAs or bed of nails interfaces.
    • Coordinating with internal and external parties for equipment fabrication and development.
    • Reviewing requirements and developing test cases within a test/verification role.
    • Developing automated test scripts using appropriate development environments.
  • Desirable Competencies
    • Proficiency in design and development tools like Solid Edge and Altium.
    • Experience in test rig design and development.
    • Background in working within an agile environment.
    • Certifications in LabVIEW/TestStand (CLD, CTD).
    • Familiarity with Python Test Frameworks.
    • Understanding of industrial systems and protocols.
    • Knowledge of source code control systems (e.g. GIT/SVN).
