Applications Support Officer - Schools' Choice, part of the Vertas Group Limited
Friars Bridge Road, Ipswich
37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£26,000 per annum
Purpose of the role:
To manage the system administration of multiple business systems. To be involved in the support, development and maintenance of solutions managed by the systems team.
Key relationships:
- Schools' Choice customers.
- Internal team members.
- Colleagues across Schools Choice.
- Team Lead.
- Software Suppliers/Support providers.
Key Skills:
- Excellent Computer skills such as report writing and excel skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Research and problemsolving skills to deal with queries and issues.
- Ability to plan and organise own workload, taking responsibility for delivery of tasks. Where appropriate support colleagues in managing workloads.
- Desirable knowledge/experience of using iTrent & Microsoft Dynamics.
Main activities and responsibilities:
- Upkeep and development of various systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix defects.
- End to end testing.
- Ability to manipulate data and generate bespoke reports.
- Administer business processes and procedures, this includes but is not limited to onboarding of new customers.
- Develop expertise and knowledge of systems across a range of service areas.
- Contribute to the design and development of specific administrative systems and associated databases or spreadsheets.
- Contribute to internal or external communications, e.g. drafting various documents which may include internal processes or user guidance.
- Provide an efficient and customer focussed first point of contact.
- Raising tickets promptly with suppliers as needed.
- To be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritising own work to meet numerous deadlines.
- To be able to interpret and follow guidance documents/technical manuals to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Strive to resolve problems and achieve positive outcomes, influencing improvements for positive change.
