Maintenance Engineering Co-ordinator

We produce high quality products for local and national accounts from multiple sites.
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Engineering manager and together will optimise production and maximise use of downtime availability, coordinating the activities and work alongside multi skilled engineers to facilitate engineering activities.
Working days will be:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday (40hours basic per week) Saturday and Sunday hours will be 6am to 4pm.
A degree of flexibility will be required on daily working hours and days to accommodate business requirements including providing cover for annual leave and sickness which may include occasional call outs and night shift work.
Applicants need excellent knowledge of engineering (ideally electrical & mechanical) and are required to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and own initiative.
Expertise to prioritise workload to reflect business needs is crucial within this role.
The main duties of this role are:
Effectively use the onsite electronic maintenance system (MPulse) to record tasks and completion of allocated work as required.
To identify engineering issues prior to them causing a failure to effectively minimise downtime and maximise production.
Proactive attitude towards preventative maintenance including liaising with other departments to establish works schedules.
Arrange contractors and required permits to enable external support on site.
Support maintenance spend management through considered resource and parts use including stock management to reduce production downtime.
