Lovett Care is seeking a
Bank
General Assistant to join our amazing team at
Bradshaw Manor. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in partnership with our team to deliver quality care for a diverse group of residents.


This position is for Bank only Pick and choose the hours that suit you Perfect for students or those with another job.

Job Purpose:

To assist in the kitchen department and housekeeping within the home. You will also be able to step in and assist in other departments as and when required.

Key Accountabilities within the Kitchen:

  • Under the supervision of the Chef, assist in identifying items to be ordered to ensure enough levels of supplies for catering operation from specified suppliers, using the homes procedures
  • Operate an efficient stock control system
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any faults immediately
  • Be responsible for understanding Health and Safety requirements Be clean, hygienic, and well always presented
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

Key Accountabilities within Housekeeping:

  • Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of cleaning implementation and delivery
  • To provide laundry services within the home in accordance with agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and in line with accepted best practices.
  • Liaise with care team and residents in a polite and personcentered way
  • To ensure that the laundry requirements of the service are managed appropriately and that there are always sufficient items available for use
  • Ensure that there is sufficient and effective equipment to facilitate the laundering of all items
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

Skills & Competencies:

  • Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
  • Satisfactory DBS check
  • To be flexible within your role
  • Basic understanding of COSHH
  • Willingness to work within various departments of the home
  • Reliable and punctual

Qualifications:

  • Level two food hygiene qualification _
    (Not essential but preferred)_

You will have:

  • Experience of working in a care environment
  • Experience inHousekeeping or within a Kitchen _(_
    desirable but not essential)_
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in a customer facing environment
  • Genuine interest in working within a care environment
  • Competent IT skills
  • Satisfactory DBS Check
