Stores Coordinator

Job Purpose
This role involves the effective and efficient running of the maintenance/Site stores.
This includes managing stock levels from start to finish, ordering goods, receiving goods inwards, distribution of stock outwards and maintenance of computerised recording systems and procedures.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- To follow company Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others as well as championing safety in the engineering stores
- Develop effective relationships with suppliers to ensure value for money.
- Liaise with Maintenance Engineering promptly regarding stores and administration issues.
- Ensure all spares are held in correct locations
- Quality and sufficient quantity of spares kept maintaining the smooth running of the plant.
- All goods ordered are checked, placed in the correct locations, and receipted promptly.
- Goods out / repairs administrated promptly and efficiently and tracked until their return
- Ensure that all delivery vehicles are unloaded in a safe and efficient manner. Sign for deliveries ensuring accuracy of information.
- Issue and monitor PPE and tools.
- Continuous improvements of stores function to maintain and exceed performance.
- Compliance with budgetary and purchasing controls, limited budgetary responsibility, understanding the need for value not just best price.
- Work closely with finance, Procurement and accounts payable on behalf of maintenance team.
- Anything commensurate to complete your role as Stores Coordinator.
- Raise Purchase requisitions on behalf of the maintenance team for spares and labor requirements Develop BOM lists for site Assets and add items to maintenance stock.
- Scheduling and Prekitting of Work Orders for maintenance works
- Deal with invoicing and supplier queries
Requirements:
Essential:
- Previous administration experience within an engineering production or manufacturing environment
- Ability to gain A good knowledge and recognition of Engineering Parts.
- Excellent telephone, written and verbal skills
- Customer Focused
- Highly organised with good attention to detail.
- You must be able to work autonomously but also be an active part of the team.
- IT literate, be proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and MRP/SAP systems
- Ability to prepare and deliver management information within required deadlines.
- Knowledge of Stock Management principles and systems
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are an important part of this role to ensure the timely supply to our factory
- Knowledge of safe systems of work and procedures and an excellent regard for health and safety.
- Willing to go the extra mile and work as part of an enthusiastic engineering / stores team
Desirable:
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
