An established major house builder are looking to recruit an Architectural Technician - CAD Designer to join its Divisional Design Department.

Working under the supervision of the Divisional Architectural Manager, the Architectural Technician - CAD Designer will provide architectural design services and solutions on individual projects and the standard core portfolios, presenting proposals and workingdrawings primarily using Autodesk Revit.


Duties day to day:
Providing working drawings for production teams for use on site and for all of the relevant Regional business functions
To assist Site Managers by addressing and answering development queries when required
Co-ordinate suppliers information from the divisionally approved key supply chain list
Distribute working information to the Regional businesses via the Intranet
Provide solutions for reports that are received from the regional businesses

A major UK property business specialising in house building and commercial property over the last 80 years. They have a reputation for delivering sector-leading quality, sustainable homes and operate from six geographical regions across the UK.
You will be a qualified Architectural CAD Technician from either a house builder or a design/consultancy background.
You will have experience using Autodesk Revit Architecture and AutoCAD and a good understanding of the construction process and the provision of house type working drawings that meet the requirements of the Building Regulations and NHBC standards
You will be able to work alone, under your own steam and as part of the technical team and will have excellent communication and presentation skills

You will have a minimum HND/HNC or equivalent in Architecture or Construction and experience in working for a house-builder or consultancy providing services to a house-builder.

You will have a good knowledge of house building and the consultation process and be aware of emerging and changing legislation
