This opening assignment is for 2 months As a Job Aide/Job Enabler, this specific role has a particular focus on providing 1:1 support to an individual councillor with disability support needs. Supporting and developing an elected member to carry out their respective functions effectively and efficiently.

Providing timely, efficient, and cost-effective organisational and administrative support Assisting the elected member in their attendance at external events Key responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 diary management and administrative support.
  • Providing 1:1 support on the use of MS Office suite, MS Teams and other bespoke ICT systems.
  • To liaise with appropriate Democratic Services officers to support the elected member
  • Updating and maintaining records on a range of corporate systems.
  • Providing a range of meeting support including room booking, virtual meetings, note taking, committee room management, agenda production and organising printing and distribution of papers

  • Intermediate Administrative Qualification e.g. BTEC National or NVQ level

  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Experience of diary management, planning and organising tasks that must be achieved by specific deadlines
  • Ability to use initiative to prioritise own workload.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet nonnegotiable timescales.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders in a variety of media.
  • Ability to work independently and consistently within frameworks and procedures
