Teacher Of Biology

Zest Education are looking to recruit a full time Science Teacher, with a specialism in Biology, for a Secondary school in the Rugeley area of Staffordshire.

The role is full time from September 2024.

The school prides themselves on delivering a high standard of learning and pastoral care to create an environment where all children and young adults are able to fulfil their potential and achieve their dreams, safely and happily.

Ideally the chosen candidate should have excellent subject knowledge up to KS4 with subject knowledge at KS5 not essential but desirable and preferred.

The school is a local secondary with a supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT) who strive to support any staff that come into the school.

Training is always offered to those who feel they need any extra support or would like to develop themselves.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Have a PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS.
• An enthusiasm for science with exceptional knowledge across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and a specialism in Biology
• Desire to work as part of a wider team, supporting them as and when they need
• The ability to effectively mark, plan and deliver lessons of a high quality.
• Have classroom and behaviour management experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
