Due to internal moves we are looking for a GFM Operator within our GFM Department.More about IFA: We manufacture high-integrity, open-die and closed-die forged components in nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel and carbon alloys for customers and tier-one suppliers within the aerospace, power generation, marine as well as oil and gas sector. We are unique due to the combination of open and closed-die forging while also undertaking the whole production process from raw material to the finished product in one location.The role: You will be responsible for:

  • Drive, set up and operating the GFM in line with safe systems and quality standards
  • Maintain efficient production by operating the machine at the correct cycle times or speed required.
  • Working in line with route cards, raising non-conformances as required in line with procedure
  • Responsible for health and safety of yourselves and others around you
  • Monitor machine and furnaces on a frequent basis to check that product is produced to customer specifications
What are we looking for?We are looking for a proactive individual who is looking for a fresh new challenge within a growing independent company. You would need to have experience with working with hot metal and or a background in machining or CNC Programming.Desirable:
  • Fully experienced in all aspects of GFM Driving
  • Fully experienced in all aspects of GFM tooling set up
  • Good working knowledge of the GFM Department
  • Fork Lift Truck driver's license
