We are looking for a Band 6 Junior Sister to work on our busy Level 2 (LNU) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Peterborough City Hospital and in our Neonatal Community Outreach team. This is a hybrid role part ward based and part community based.

Our Neonatal Unit has 20 cots and cares for babies born at 27 weeks gestation or greater. We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated nurse to join our team of highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals, who are passionate about delivering a high quality service to babies and their families.

You must be an experienced B5 QIS nurse or B6 QIS junior Sister interested in furthering your leadership skills and have a passion for caring for babies both within the neonatal unit and in their home setting.

You will be responsible for managing your own workload, escalating any concerns and prioritising care needs of infants post discharge. This will involve working effectively and efficiently with the integrated multidisciplinary team and outside agencies to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.

As a community worker you will need the use of a car and be confident travelling and navigating to the infants home address. The community team is involved in monitoring, data collection and audit of our service and good computer skills are essential.

Primary base - Peterborough. Travelling to Huntingdon is required (pan site post)
