Interim Accountant Position at Established Business in Slough

Orka Financial is collaborating with a well-established business based in Slough seeking an interim accountant for a long-term assignment. This role has become essential due to recent team adjustments and is expected to continue indefinitely.

As the interim accountant, you will be part of a small finance function, reporting to the Financial Controller. Your main responsibilities will include handling monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, as well as taking full ownership of the balance sheet. You will play a crucial role as the main point of contact for financial matters within the operations team, working closely with accounts payable, credit control, and treasury departments for intercompany reporting.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years' experience in a similar role, demonstrate a sharp eye for detail, and offer insights on enhancing reporting processes, potentially through system optimizations.

To qualify for this position, candidates must be at least partially qualified in either ACCA or CIMA, along with proficiency in Excel functions like pivot tables and vlook ups. Additionally, the ability to commence work with a maximum notice period of two weeks is required.

The company follows a hybrid work model, expecting employees to be in the office a minimum of three days per week. While the standard working hours are 9 to 5:30, there is room for flexibility. The office location provides ample parking space and convenient access to public transportation.
