An exciting position is available in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering for a Research Associate with experience in mammalian cell gene expression technology to carry out research and development underpinning commercial production of viral vectors for gene therapy.
This project is funded by a company that is a global leader in developing AAV gene therapies.Together, we aim to create new technology for improved AAV production by mammalian cells using innovative synthetic biology technology developed at Sheffield.
The post holder will design and test novel mammalian gene expression constructs that enable controlled co-expression of viral vector components.
