This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking a temporary role in the dynamic world of secondary education. We are looking for individuals who can commit to a day-to-day basis, including providing emergency morning cover. As an Unqualified Secondary School Children's Support Worker, you'll be on-site promptly at 08:30 and conclude your day at 15:10, with occasional half-day assignments. Plus, with our commitment to local placements, you'll always have opportunities close to home.

Competitive Compensation:

  • This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work in a secondary school with excellent rates of pay, averaging between £ £15 per hour, depending on experience.

Position Overview:

  • In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our secondary schools across the Derbyshire area. Your availability on a daytoday basis is crucial, as you may be called upon for emergency cover to help manage absences in the morning. You will start your day bright and early at 08:30 and finish at 15:10, ensuring you are ready to assist both teachers and students. On occasion, halfday assignments may also be available to provide further flexibility.

Qualifications and Background:

  • While experience as a support worker, children's residential support worker, mentor, tutor, youth worker, sports coach, swim teacher, teaching assistant, or teacher is a bonus, it's not a strict requirement. What truly matters is your positive, cando personality and your ability to connect with students. Your passion for providing support and guidance to young minds is what sets you apart.

Responsibilities:

  • Your primary responsibilities include taking the register and being readily available to assist students with any questions they may have about their coursework. You won't be tasked with teaching the entire class but rather offering invaluable support to a group of students. However, if you possess specialized knowledge or experience as a tutor or mentor, there is potential for additional compensation.
