is recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable Precision CNC company based in Leicester.

Renowned for their commitment to quality and innovation, our client specialises in the production of high-precision components for their respected field.

As they continue to expand, they are seeking skilled CNC Turners with experience in setting and/or programming turning machines to join their dedicated team.


Job Overview:
Our client is looking for experienced CNC Turning Machinists who are proficient in setting and/or programming CNC turning machines.

The ideal candidates will have a strong background in CNC machining and working on CNC Turning machines., with the ability to work accurately and efficiently to produce high-quality components.

The position operates on a double day shift pattern:

6am - 2:30pm Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Program CNC machines using Gcode and other programming languages as required.
  • Conduct machine setups, including tooling, fixturing, and material preparation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances using a variety of quality measuring tools.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimise machining processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and quality inspections.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with expertise in setting and/or programming CNC turning machines.
  • Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining processes, including Gcode programming and machine setup.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and quality inspection tools.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality work.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • A proactive and selfmotivated approach to work.
  • Willingness to work a double days shift pattern.
