The Job Role:

As a Junior Commissioning Engineer at Wifinity, your main responsibility is to bring new sites or site modifications onto our network as per design and company standards. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring top-notch service, meeting design specifications, and upholding network standards for ultimate customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Your daily tasks will include...
  • Representing the Wifinity brand as a product and service ambassador
  • Providing feedback to enhance procedures and designs
  • Visiting remote sites following rotation schedules, including overnight stays when necessary
  • Auditing installation quality for handover acceptance
  • Activating remote site core network infrastructure onto the Wifinity network
  • Ensuring equipment operates within set specifications and standards
  • Adding various elements to the network based on design and manufacturer specifications
  • Conducting test procedures covering cabling, wireless analysis, and product testing
  • Investigating and resolving faults
  • Collaborating with Installation teams and Project Managers
  • Maintaining accurate records of changes and works
  • Preparing new hardware and services for operational readiness
  • Providing technical support and ensuring safety protocols
  • Training Field Engineering staff as needed

Desired Profile:​

You are a 'finisher' who ensures every task is completed thoroughly. Possess practical experience and solid knowledge of wireless networks and associated equipment with high standards. Additional requirements:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away from home
  • Self-assured and independent with strong communication and ICT skills

Experience Needed:

  • Previous work as a network, field, or commissioning engineer within the Telecommunications field
  • Experience interpreting network documents, schedules, and working with specific equipment
  • Proficiency in ICT tools including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Ruckus, Cambium, and PON devices
