Dispatch Supervisor

Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK's leading supermarkets and convenience stores.

Our company, based in Malton, North Yorkshire, has built an excellent reputation over the last 25 years and our chefs, working with our customers, have created a menu of more than 200 quality meals.

In this role, you will be overseeing a team of five in the dispatch of all products from site, dealing with transport and all logistics, arranging collection and delivery of goods, packing stock and producing paperwork.

• Organising the dispatch function, including load management
• Controlling the relevant paperwork, PODS, delivery notes and trailer plan
• Checking loads in and out
• Stock taking
• Taking ownership of the dispatch area, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation
• Supervising the loading team to ensure all vehicles are loaded in a safe and efficient manner and as per the provided work sheets
• Ensuring the team wear correct PPE and hivis at all times and are following all health and safety protocols
• Leading, training and motivating the loading team
• Communicating and coordinating with other department supervisors to ensure duties are completed
• Demonstrating good communication skills, commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility
• Working calmly and accurately under pressure.

• Is proactive, with a positive approach
• Works with a 'can do' attitude and can work on their own initiative
• Has a knowledge of a food manufacturing environment, is health and safety aware and has an understanding of food hygiene
• Has previous supervisory experience and a passion for continuous improvement
• Has a Reach licence (this is essential)
• Is experienced using SFDC and handheld scanners.
