Senior React Native Developer - Remote (Hybrid available)

Tembo is on the lookout for a passionate Senior React Native engineer to join our team.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in the continuous development and enhancement of our mobile app experience which we are in the process of drastically overhauling - providing the opportunity to be pivotal in helping select the direction of the apps architecture and beyond.

This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including the development of new features, optimizing existing functionalities and ensuring the overall performance of the app.


Feature Development:

Lead and contribute to the end-to-end development of new features, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring they meet our quality and performance standards.

Regularly evaluate and optimize the performance of existing features, ensuring our application runs smoothly and efficiently.

Bug Identification and Resolution:
Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and issues within our application, enhancing user experience and service reliability.
Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high coding standards and practices within the team. Mentor junior engineers by sharing knowledge and best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments, including product management, QA, and design teams, to ensure seamless integration and alignment on project goals and timelines.


Technical Investigations:

Lead and participate in technical investigations to explore innovative solutions and technologies that can enhance our application's capabilities and performance.


Experience:

At least 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on React Native, iOS and Android development.

Expertise in React Native framework, iOS and Android development, integrating API's
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in remote, cross-functional teams.
A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
