About the role

In your role as Associate Chief Of Staff you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity toTo work with, and support the Chief of Staff, in delivering their own objectives and more generally supporting the Group Chief Executive Office (GCEO) in successfully delivering their role. This will include assisting with:

  • The creation of GCEO and other reports and papers authored by the GCEO and/or the Chief of Staff
  • Supporting the Chief of Staff to deliver strategically important projects
  • Working with the internal communications and L&D teams to create presentations and scripts to support the GCEO in internal engagement
  • Support for the GCEO in preparing for meetings with directors, members of the executive team and others

What you will be doing

As a trusted part of the Executive Office you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working with the Chief of Staff to draft GCEO and other reports and papers authored by the GCEO and/or the Chief of Staff – this includes liaising with executives and other people across the business to seek input and obtain relevant information. It also includes creating initial drafts of papers.
  • Collation of MI including the quarterly Board MI pack.
  • Supporting the GCEO in their engagement with policy makers, regulators, media and stakeholders
  • Deal efficiently and confidentially with internal and external correspondence, emails and telephone calls. Filtering, prioritising and actioning as appropriate.
  • Attending and minuting meetings to circulate for review

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
