Our client is a well established British agricultural machinery firm located in the heart of Somerset, just 9 miles south of Bristol. They specialize in providing a full range of agricultural and construction machinery along with support services.

If you have prior experience in repairing, maintaining, and servicing machinery and vehicles within the agricultural and construction sectors, then you are the ideal candidate they are looking for.

The working hours for this position are flexible, but they are particularly interested in someone who can work on a Monday to Friday basis with occasional weekends.

About the role:

Our client is currently recruiting for agricultural and construction machinery mechanics/fitters to join their productive team. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to work with the latest agricultural and earth-moving machinery available in the market.

With support, your responsibilities will include:
  • Undertaking servicing, welding, fabrication, mechanical, inspection, or machining tasks as needed.
  • Conducting initial assessments of faulty equipment, identifying root causes, and efficiently repairing them.
  • Ensuring that all repairs are carried out safely and compliant with regulations.
  • Performing repairs and engineering tasks both at the workshop and on-site.
  • Conducting personal dynamic risk assessments and using adaptable method statements for workplace operations.
  • Utilizing provided workshop equipment in a clean, tidy, and operational manner.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Keeping all paperwork up to date, including managing purchase orders for parts.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a must.
  • Preferably hold a relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3.
  • Possess a valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience working with agricultural or earth-moving vehicles.
