Technical Administrator is responsible for generating weekly production schedule aligning capacity to meet customer demand. Minimise overdue orders, turnaround time while maximising operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Develop Weekly production schedules for Chemistry Manufacturing department.
  • Transact and maintain Production Shop orders to ensure that:
  • Maintain start/end dates to accurately reflect the current schedule and expected completion.
  • Accurate consumption of materials
  • Ensure Raw material reservations are in place.
  • Product is issued to correct locations.
  • Manage the movement of material through robust system transactions to ensure inventory is in the right place at the right time to meet production requirements.
  • Interact with Planning to communicate changes in Shop order completion dates.
  • Interact with Operations, Planning, Logistics and Customer Services to understand production priorities.
  • Escalate material shortages to Purchasing function and adjust schedules and Shop orders to reflect.
  • Support in maintaining Routes and structures within company ERP.
  • Support in root cause analysis of Conformance to Plan / Schedule adherence misses
  • Attend Weekly Planning reviews.
  • To be responsible for setting up and maintaining accurate system data relevant to the role.

Qualifications:

  • Chemistry or Chemistry related degree


 IFS Experience
  • Desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.
  • Experience scheduling production utilising leading ERP software (IFS/SAP etc)
  • Demonstrated appreciation of MRP and Master Data
  • Understanding of Product structures / Bills of material and Production routings
  • Desirable but not essential
  • Experience working in a global manufacturing or biotech organisation.
  • Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
