About the role:

Are you passionate and enthusiastic about supporting children with barriers to learning?


Vision for Education have a full-time opportunity for an SEN Support Assistant to work in a special needs school in the Morecambe area.

The role is a full-time, long-term, term-time only role which will be ongoing through the academic year.

As an SEN Support Assistant, you will have a caring and patient manner.

You will be expected to meet the needs of pupils with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, and other associated needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), across all age ranges and abilities within the school from Reception to Year 13.


You will be working with children in small group settings and on a 1:1 basis, so the ability to build positive relationships quickly is required.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday - 8:40am to 3:40pm.

It is a co-educational provider accommodating students aged from 5 to 18 years old and is currently measured by OFSTED as an Outstanding school.


Requirements:

To be considered for the role of SEN Support Assistant you will:

  • A strong desire to work with young people with additional learning needs.
  • Recent experience working with young people or adults with learning needs.
  • A flexible and positive attitude to an everchanging role.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Recent, relevant experience working with young people or vulnerable adults within the last 12 months.
