The Supported Accommodation Review Team (SART) is a multi-disciplinary team based in the Private Housing Service, but with Adult Social Care and Housing Benefit functions.
The post holder will support the team in the delivery of the Department for Levelling Up Housing and Communities (DLUHC) Supported Housing Improvement Programme running to 2025 and will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, working with other Enforcement and Licensing Officers, Housing Benefit and Resident Support Review colleagues to improve housing standards within private rented accommodation in the city where residents are being supported via the exempt Housing Benefit system.
The post holder will assist in the discharge of the Councils statutory duties under the Housing Act 2004 and associated housing legislation, in relation to housing standards and Mandatory Licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation.
In addition, will work alongside a team of professional officers in the Private Housing (Environmental Health) Service who discharge the City Council's strategy in general needs accommodation.
