The Radiology Department in the Wrexham Maelor Hospital is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated individuals to the role of Radiographic Assistant within our US Department.

This role will predominantly involve aspects of direct patient care with some elements of administrative and clerical work.

There are full time and part time roles available across daytimes, evenings and weekends.

Although this post will be based in the Ultrasound Department of the Maelor, there may also be an opportunity to provide support to other areas of the Radiology Department as well as to Community sites within the Health Board.

To assist the Sonographers and Radiologists and other members of the radiology multi disciplinary team by carrying out non-radiographic duties which include the care, preparation and management of patients presenting for radiological procedures, preparation of equipment and reception and clerical duties.

Accompany patients and/or dependants within the department or any other areas in the hospital as required.

Chaperone patients during imaging procedures.

Care for the patient's needs and attend to their welfare in accordance with safe working practice.

Assist the radiographer to transfer and position patients and equipment using appropriate manual handling techniques.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
