What you'll be doing


This is a brilliant role working in the local community supporting older people from different backgrounds by delivering customer focused support, enabling our customers to live independently.


As a Livewell Officer, you'll assist customers to sustain their tenancy, maximize their income, reduce debt, increase wellbeing and live connected and safe lives as part of a community.


You'll also organise and facilitate the provision of high-quality information, activities and events for customers to improve their health and well-being from one of our 12 community hubs.


This is an opportunity to work with local community groups to help people re-connect with where they live and to positively impact on health loneliness and isolation.


More about you


You'll have a passion for working with older people, great people skills and enjoy helping to set up groups as well as working on a one to one basis.


An understanding of working with older people in the community is a key skill you'll already have, as well as the ability to work on your own initiative and great record keeping.


You'll be flexible and able to switch between 1-1 work and group events, as well as willing to work in our different locations in and around BANES and whilst you are out and about, you'll be able to use the tablet provided to record relevant information.

At the same time, you will demonstrate resilience and the desire to work in an interesting environment where no day is ever the same

A full driving license and the ability to travel around the BANES area is essential.


You will be able to work flexibly, 37 hours a week between Monday and Friday between 8am - 5.15pm, based on our customers' needs.

You will be responsible for organizing your own workload and setting your diary appointments.

You'll be based in office in Stirling Way, Keynsham BS31 1DF.
