The Opportunity:
We have a great opportunity for a Catastrophe Modelling Analyst to join our Accumulation Management Technical Solutions team in London. This international team is dedicated to the development of bespoke in-house tools and databases to organize data, streamline processes, and provide strategic insights into catastrophe modelling data.

Your New Role:
- Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated tools used within the Accumulation Management team
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets efficiently
- Utilize programming skills to develop scripts and applications for data processing, analysis, and visualization
- Test the functionality of new tools and applications to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Proactively maintain and enhance existing tools, addressing bugs, implementing updates, and optimizing performance as needed
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders across the world, contributing to the success of global initiatives
About you:
- Experience gained in Catastrophe Modelling team in an analytical role
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries to extract data from vendor Catastrophe model databases
- Familiarity with one or more of RMS RiskLink, RMS Risk Modeler, AIR Touchstone, IF Elements
- Good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Pro-active attitude and a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies
- Ability to work independently and in a team
Desirable Requirements:
- Coding experience in C# or another relevant programming language (e.g. XAML, VBA, R, Python)
- Experience in setting up APIs
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in quantitative or IT discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Natural Science, Engineering, Actuarial, Computer Science)
