Granary Families Assessment Centre is a registered residential family centre in Harrow, Middlesex providing robust parenting capacity assessments for vulnerable families. We run a high quality building and are committed to maintaining our properties both internally and externally to a very high standard. Working in care provisions, health and safety will be of paramount importance.

This post is for 8 hours per week.

Job Role

  • We require an experienced carpentry led multi tradesman to carry out all aspects of building maintenance.
  • You will be part of a small organisation with a family friendly 'can do' attitude
  • Plan and carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance and building improvement works
  • Identify maintenance tasks and deal with them diligently and professionally
  • Preferably have own transport with a clean driving licence
  • You will require to have a clean enhanced level DBS check
  • Have at least 5 years' experience working at a similar role
  • Have a good understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace and Risk Management
  • Have a good working knowledge of all trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrics, roofing, garden refurbishment and general refurbishment of internal and external areas
  • Have a full set of cordless power tools and hand tools for general maintenance and external works
  • Be organised and able to work on your own and meet relevant deadlines
  • Have excellent problem solving and time management skills
  • Have excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Be prepared to occasionally work on weekends (Time off in lieu)
