An exciting new opportunity has arisen within EPUT Financial Team.

The Senior Finance Business Partner - Central Reporting is a high profile and integral role in finance department. The role is responsible for periodic production and analysis of multiple internal and external financial reports and submissions. The role will ensure submissions and reports are produced to high standards and are all delivered to pre-determined timelines.


The role is responsible for providing a coordinating function to the Finance Department, running the month end process and delivering returns within submission dates and with discipline.

To assist with the completion of central finance records, and external returns.

The role is responsible for development of reporting and continuous improvement in automation and standardisation of reports.


This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who is self-motivated, has a keen eye for detail and a proven track record of achievements including meeting deadlines.


The post holder must have high professional standards, integrity and possess enthusiasm and energy with a desire for continuous improvement.

The Trust's finance department is based in Grays, Thurrock.

Ensure that monthly financial reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner. This will require the provision of ad hoc advice and support, as necessary, to aid understanding and decision making.

Completion and distribution of monthly financial reporting timetable incorporating local and national requirements.

Supports the completion of monthly NHSE and ICB returns.


Completes monthly reconciliation of budget adjustments and ensures these are accurately reflected into the future year's base budget so annual budget preparation is supported.


Provide interpretations of variances and trends and produce detailed monthly variance reports which explain the reasons for variances and utilise statistical data where appropriate.


Support the senior finance team in identifying financial trends & KPIs, and to develop, implement and monitor solutions to address adverse variances.


Assists the senior finance team in producing monthly draft finance committee and Executive Team reports, and any other ad hoc reports as required.

Support the completion of the annual planning returns and delivery against the timetable.


Co-ordinate the collation of annual revenue budgets and forecasts from the management accounts department, to give a total Trust view.

Responsible for the triage, co-ordination of financial aspects of FOI responses and, where applicable completion of financial FOI's.
