Job Description

What will you be doing?nAs a

Calibration and Validation & Verification Engineer

,

you will join

Derby

team to support our activities within the

Automotive

sector

nYour main responsibilities will be:


nLead a team of base engine and aftertreatment system calibration engineers.nDevelop and manage test plans, identifying necessary deliverables to meet project timelines and objectives.nCoordinate test bed and machine engine calibration activities, including climatic testing, to meet off-highway emissions and performance goals.nPrepare and present development status updates to the senior management team.nWork on compression and spark ignition combustion systems.nDevelop fuel injection equipment.nHandle air systems, including turbochargers and EGR systems.nDevelop aftertreatment technologies (various NOx reduction methods, PM PN filtration hardware).nManage base engine performance and emissions calibration.nOversee aftertreatment performance and control (deNOx, DPF).nEnsure aftertreatment and engine diagnostics are up to standard.nApply relevant legislation to hardware selection and calibration processes.nWho are we looking for?nExperience in IC engine and aftertreatment calibration.nKnowledge of off-highway, heavy-duty, or automotive electric/electronic systems.nFamiliarity with Tier I supplier engine management systems and model-based engine control.nYou are...

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

nA bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.nDemonstrated experience in calibrating internal combustion engines, particularly in off-highway, heavy-duty, or automotive sectors.
