management including ecological impact assessment (EcIA) and ecology management plans.

Key requirements:

As a Field Ecologist, you will be required to assist with and deliver ecology surveys including those
as a class 1 & 2 licenced bat ecologist and licenced GCN ecologist. On completion of surveys, you will be expected to collate all notes and
produce elements of reports.

Key tasks & responsibilities

appraisals, protected species surveys and population monitoring visits in accordance with
recommended guidelines.

Facilitation of survey team to ensure raw data and survey results are managed, written up
and filed correctly.

Assist with fieldwork tasks that may be required e.g. pond clearance, habitat creation and
management.

Analysing and interpreting data, using specialist software programs including the review of
IR camera footage.

Provide administrative support to the wider ecology team including inputting data and liaising
with landowners regarding survey access and site safety.

Retain good communication with other members of the team.

Ensure appropriate care and maintenance of company equipment including company vehicles,
bat detectors, infra-red cameras, optical equipment and office equipment in order to enable
effective surveying, data capture and storage.

Work towards obtaining level 3 FISC.
Work towards obtaining level 1 bat and GCN licence.
