An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Radiographer to join the MRI team at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford.

We have recently installed new states of the art scanners; a Siemens Sola and a Siemens T Vida.

In this post you will be trained to perform a wide range of mainly musculoskeletal diagnostic procedures for adult and paediatric outpatient and inpatient settings.

As a Senior MRI radiographer, you will be a key part of the imaging team ensuring that our service user's needs are met through the delivery of high-quality compassionate care.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this role are to assist in the provision of an efficient MRI service; to perform MRI procedures according to Trust, Departmental and statutory regulations; to work as part of a professional radiography team providing a high-quality diagnostic service; to maintain a sensitive and person-centric approach to our patients; to maintain a safe environment within the MRI unit.

This role involves assisting the Superintendent MRI radiographer with the supervision of staff and students providing comprehensive training. You will encourage the highest professional and technical standards in all staff by personal example and constructive feedback.

Working for our organisation

The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre itself has a world-wide reputation for excellence in orthopaedics, rheumatology and rehabilitation. The hospital also undertakes specialist services such as the treatment of bone infection and bone tumours, limb reconstruction and the rehabilitation of those with limb amputation or complex neurological disabilities. We are a mainly digital department with PACS and CRIS with general x-ray rooms which caters for inpatients, outpatients and paediatrics, as well as MRI scanners, a DEXA scanner and a fluoroscopy suite.
