About Us: Join our client's dynamic Security Team as a crucial member of their Application Security (AppSec) team.
A B2B AI company That have recently raised $90 million in their latest funding round (Series C).
Their mission is to ensure our products are secure by default, identifying and mitigating application security risks. They partner with Product, Engineering, and R&D teams to offer security guidance, build secure patterns, increase awareness, and conduct security testing and penetration testing.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain partnerships with Product, Engineering, and R&D teams.
- Lead threat modeling for high-priority engineering projects.
- Provide security guidance and address ad-hoc application security questions.
- Implement secure-by-default patterns and pave the way for secure development practices.
- Coordinate and participate in penetration testing and bug bounty programs.
- Contribute to scaling our secure software development program.
- Participate in product security incident response.
- Support compliance management efforts (SOC2, ISO27001, ISO
- Act as a reasonable, friendly, and effective security advocate.
- Collaborate with our Corporate Security team to identify and mitigate security risks.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Application Security: 5+ years of experience, including design-level guidance, threat modeling, code review, and application security testing.
- Cloud Security: Experience with AWS and understanding cloud security considerations for product engineering teams.
- SaaS Product Security: Understanding the unique security challenges of SaaS products.
- Development: Ability to read and make iterative improvements to production code, identifying and fixing security vulnerabilities.
- Automation: Proven track record of implementing automation in a security context.
- Scaling AppSec: Experience in scaling AppSec programs in hyper-growth startups.
- Communication Skills and Empathy: Ability to build strong relationships with internal engineering teams and provide empathetic, informed advice.
