An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Learning & Development team at Broadmoor Hospital, Crowthorne, Berkshire, as we are we looking for an enthusiastic Learning & Knowledge Administrator to support the great work we do.

Ensuring all visitors and members of the public are treated in the correct manner and are directed to the appropriate courses/rooms as required.


To maintain the reception area, classrooms, the Learning & Development Centre and the Library, as a whole to ensure the environment is welcoming and conducive to the best learning experience for all users and in accordance with Trust policy, for example Health & Safety.


That all administrative work is recorded accurately and in a timely manner and all information is stored correctly, for example the Mandatory training and Information Governance policies.


To work with the Learning & Development Centre Manager to ensure the Learning & Development Centre and reception area is covered throughout the opening hours.

The team in the Learning & Development Centre is a small team where we promote all the benefits of teamwork.

We also work collaboratively and productively with the wider Organisational Development and Workforce Directorate.


This vacancy would suit people with experience of and understanding of, excellent customer service and whose customer service skills reflect a warm and friendly approach.


Experience and understanding of administration skills is an essential requirement, also the ability to display and evidence an understanding of the importance of attention to detail and accuracy.

West London offers all staff annual appraisals and access to relevant development opportunities, to support career pathways.

Participating in health and Wellbeing Activities and supporting services is also available to all staff.


In the Learning & Development Centre we work to a two tier shift pattern of; 2 weeks at 08:00-16:00 and then 2 weeks at 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday.

Working on bank holidays is not a requirement of this post.

Annual leave, (without any prior NHS service,) starts at 202.5 hours per year plus bank holidays.

Free parking for staff is available on site as well as a subsidised staff restaurant.

To provide a highly effect and competent administration support to both Learning & Development activities and the Library service.

We are looking for someone who has a flexible, calm and pro-active approach to their work.


Ensuring that effective learning and knowledge systems are in place that are consistent across both Learning and Development Centres at Ealing & Broadmoor.

To provide administrative support to the Learning & Development team.

The post holder will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to communicate accurately and effectively.


The post holder will work as part of a team and have a flexible, adaptable approach to the role to meet changing service needs.
