Role DescriptionnThis is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and driven engineer to join a highly successful, fun and friendly team.

You'll be working as a member of the buildings consulting team to direct, manage and deliver a range of carbon, energy and water consultancy services to corporate and public sector clients with a focus on commercial buildings and infrastructure.

These will include onsite assessments, feasibility studies, development of net zero roadmaps, technology implementation support and implementation of InMetriks analytics solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

nDirect, manage, provide technical input to numerous projects simultaneously and ensure delivery to client on time and within agreed budget.nManage and support junior team members to deliver projects and further their professional status.nMaintain strong relationships with existing clients and build lasting relationships with new clients with the expectation of maintaining and increasing revenues.nGenerate new business through ongoing account management activity and by supporting business development activities.nPrepare / QA proposals for projects.nAssist negotiations and securing contracts.


Qualifications:
nDegree in Engineering, a relevant technical subject or a relevant post graduate qualificationnChartered Engineer status or nearing chartered status

Experience:

nAt least 5 years energy and carbon reduction experience in the buildings infrastructure sector.nExperience in similar consultancy position or delivering similar services internally in an organisation.nHave a proven record of delivering sustainability, process improvement, or cost efficiency improvements projects from strategic assessment though implementation.nExperience of managing a team to deliver projects, including developing project briefs, written cost proposals and report QA.

nManaging complex or multi-client projectsnEnergy management and auditing including onsite deep dive assessmentsnDevelopment of net zero roadmapsnKey account management and new business developmentnManaging bids and delivering proposals to deadlinesnExperience in negotiating and securing business contractsnLeading and facilitating workshops/seminars

Knowledge and Other Skills:

nCompetence in data analysis using excel and other specialist software.nGood communication and report writing skills, including proficiency in MS Office.nKnowledge of commercial building energy usage and systems, including; boilers, steam, heat networks, hot water systems, refrigeration, HVAC, BMS, lighting, CHP, heat pumps, and other renewable energy technology.

nEnergy management systems (ISO50001)

  • BMS / BEMS systems. Metering, Monitoring & TargetingnElectrical infrastructure & systemsnProcess OptimisationnPolicy frameworks such as CCA, ESOS, EUETS, IPC and incentive schemes such as RHI, FIT, IETFnEfficiency technology design & implementationnRenewable energy technology design and implementationnMeasurement & verification
  • UK Driving License – a moderate of UK travel will be requirednWill require UK DBS clearance
