A Single Family Office in London is seeking to fill a position for a 'Senior Investment Manager - Private Equity'. This role entails reporting to the CIO and CEO, and regular interaction with the Principals of the office.
The office follows an Absolute Return investment philosophy, allocating funds across various asset classes, with a significant focus on a mature Private Equity portfolio. Investments span the entire Private Equity spectrum, with a preference for the US and Asia. Additionally, the office collaborates with a select few external LPs for minority co-investments.
To excel in this role, candidates need expertise in sourcing, due diligence, and selecting managers and co-investments within a Family office or Fund-of-Funds. Monitoring the portfolio and providing timely updates to the Principals and external stakeholders is crucial. Candidates should be adaptable in deal structures to optimize outcomes for the family.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Extensive technical knowledge in private markets
- Background in Private Equity, ideally within a family office, fund-of-funds, private banking, or private equity
- Proficiency in Private Equity fund reporting and KPIs
- Significant experience in the investment or financial sector, especially in family offices or with UHNW individuals
- Professional certifications like CFA Charterholder or Chartered Accountancy are a plus
- Proactive, self-driven, and a team player
- 12-15 years of relevant experience in similar environments
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating investment opportunities and risks
- Familiarity with various Managers and GPs
- Expertise in financial models for valuations and returns
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new managers, funds, and co-investment opportunities
- Monitor and report on the existing portfolio
- Compare fund managers against peers
- Analyze allocations and liquidity risk
- Prepare investment recommendations for committees and Trust Meetings
- Handle deal documentation and liaise with external parties
- Participate in LP Advisory Committees and company Boards
- Perform additional duties as required
