They specialize in manufacturing trace detection equipment using Ion Mobility Spectrometry technology; products like Ionscan 600 and Lightweight Chemical Detector are renowned for their high performance and reliability globally.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Electronics Engineers and Software Engineers from the R&D teams for New Product Developments.
- Support the introduction of new product designs and Test equipment designs.
- Design and construct production test systems.
- Address electronics-related issues in manufacturing processes, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Manage component obsolescence challenges to prolong product lifecycles.
- Engage with external suppliers to ensure quality incoming parts.
- Prioritize personal health and safety and adhere to company risk assessment policies.
- Stay updated on Electronics Engineering advancements and technologies.
About You:
- Hold an Electronic Engineering degree/HNC.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Electronic Design for Test Equipment.
- Comfortable with office-based work 2-3 days a week.
- Proficient in schematic capture and simulation tools.
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong IT skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.
- Excellent team player with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Understanding of Military Standards.
- Familiarity with Arduino based systems.
- Capacity to mentor and guide junior employees.
- Knowledge of electromechanical/pneumatic systems and manufacturing automation.
