As part of the MIS team who are responsible for designing and maintaining the in-house MES systems along with the integration with many business systems and production systems.

This role will be to support the technology layer, including maintaining legacy tools.


As a specialist you will update the code generators adding new features and upgrading the generated code to new languages.

Helping to drive create the tools helping the department to meet the departments objectives as part of Sensata' s Industry 4.0 Strategy.

General Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of enduser tools for data analysis, reporting and work flow processes with database communication
  • Analyzes the existing software and improving the processes
  • Leads the Design and Test Lab departments and introduces new requirements of functionality
  • Leads integration of inhouse software for our test equipment
  • Taking part in onsite software debugging, machines further adaptation and optimization
Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fastpaced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds selfaccountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Specific Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of all master data across all systems and processes supporting TPMS production
  • Working on Smart Factory Solutions as part of our Industry 4.0 Strategy
  • Taking part in modifying and optimising existing systems, leading development of new opportunities
  • Collaborating with various internal teams and external vendors on software integration projects
  • Training MIS team members in use of new functions and systems
  • Researching new technologies and recommending technology direction for MES systems.
  • Build and enhance SQL queries as required for reporting purposes
  • Mentor and Coach wider development teams on best practices for data management and database design
  • Manage database backups and recovery procedures
  • Implement database security measures to protect sensitive information
  • Analyse database performance and recommend improvements

Essential Criteria:

  • At least 5 years experience gained at a senior level in an equivalent role.
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL, ASP, HTML, SSMS
  • Knowledge of DevOps
  • Proven track record of improving performance of database
  • Experience and understanding of SQL Database Migration, Restoration and Maintenance
Please note that occasional travel will be required for equipment installation and support
