A well-known public organisation has offices in Crawley and is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support the Technology operations.
Your new role
The Infrastructure Engineer creates, manages, and supports solutions.

You will be involved in:

  • They must work proactively and cooperatively with a focused and friendly set of peers, managers, other IT teams, business users at all levels, and thirdparty support organisations.
  • Flexibility is necessary and it occasionally necessitates working outside regular business hours and being available on call.
  • The ability to manage NextGen platforms and hyperconverged infrastructure will be advantageous.
  • Design, deployment, commissioning, support, and decommissioning of various Windows servers or server roles, as well as VMWare and Citrix.
What you'll need to succeed It is essential that the post holder has/is:

  • A National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Information Technology or similar experience.
  • ITIL foundation training and/or certification.
  • A minimum of two years' experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or equivalent role.
  • The ability to travel between locales for work purposes with short or no notice. Participate in an oncall rota to provide outofhours support or to supply updates, patches, upgrades, or new IT systems outside of business hours as required.
