This is a full-time, permanent position, with hours Monday to Thursday 7.30am until 4.15pm, and then Fridays pm. You must be able to provide an in-date counter balance license in order to be successful for this role.

Duties included, but not limited to are:

  • Liaising with delivery drivers and unloading materials and products from incoming vehicles with the use of powered trucks, storing them in the appropriate locations.
  • With the use of the counterbalance trucks, locate and retrieve raw materials and products from relevant storage locations; deliver to the relevant production departments ready for assembly
  • Identifying damages and reporting shortages or quality deficiencies with incoming goods
  • Maintaining records of inventory and activity logs for audit purposes
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement that have a direct impact on performance
  • SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People)
  • Reporting any issues or nonconformances to the relevant stakeholders to ensure that appropriate action is taken
  • Participating in twoway conversations with peers and the wider business; provide and be open to giving & receiving feedback.
  • Attending and participating in team meetings to discuss priorities, issues and opportunities
  • Carrying out manual handling duties in line with Health and Safety guidelines
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and taking ownership & responsibility for maintaining an orderly and efficient workspace (6S) within work area Our perfect Stores Operative would have:
  • Proven experience of working within a warehouse environment, in a similar role. Goods inwards experience would prove beneficial
  • The ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions
  • A strong awareness of and full commitment to the adherence of health and safety guidelines
