Experienced Legal Secretary - Both Private Client & Residential Conveyancing experience preferred.


A highly motivated individual is required to provide secretarial & administrative support across two departments, the Residential Conveyancing Team and the Private Client team.

You will provide full secretarial and administrative expertise to the existing fee earners.

Ideally, you will have previous experience in the same or a similar role and thrive working in a busy and fast-paced environment, coupled with strong IT and typing skills, excellent attention to detail, and possess strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Core duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Providing full secretarial support including using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation related to property transactions with admin duties including diary management.
  • The opening and maintenance of comprehensive and accurate client admin files.
  • Undertaking online Land Registry searches and responding to enquiries on behalf of lawyers.
  • Assistance in general team administration including meeting and greeting clients, taking calls, and directing accordingly and arranging meeting room bookings.
  • Managing post completions procedures including SDLT returns and title registrations.
  • Be competent in using Word and other Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Demonstrate excellent secretarial and typing skills with good attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate previous experience in the use of digital dictation and case management software.
  • Demonstrate good organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Cope well under pressure, with an ability to work flexibly and cope with changing priorities.
