About the Role:
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Sheffield starting in September 2024. This role involves supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality education and ensuring a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Provide support to individual students or small groups to enhance their learning.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role in an educational setting.
  • A strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
