Your Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest national law firms in the UK. You will be supporting the Court of Protection team.

The role of Administrator ensures things run smoothly and aids case progression by providing excellent paper-based and digital administration support, enabling our case handlers to really focus on our clients.

The specific tasks of an Administrator may vary across departments, but they share key duties and their skills and core competencies are transferable.

This role is designed to teach valuable administration skills, and give you experience of working in a busy office.

Your main responsibilities within the department will include the following:

  • Providing support wherever possible across the team and clients by dealing with queries and enquiries and ensuring Partners and fee earners are able to respond to queries from clients and other parties.
  • The role must ensure that the fee earners are able to focus their time on activity which increases revenue by coordinating all other activities and taking responsibility for delivering consistency across the Group.
  • Supporting teams with general paperbased and/or digital administration tasks, this may include but is not limited to; printing, paperbased and digital document handling, preparing files for scanning, creating, uploading and amending documentation using relevant systems, archiving, efiling and file and matter maintenance, the preparation of bundles, and opening and closing files on relevant systems and/or programmes, handling incoming and outgoing post for the team
  • Ensuring all relevant tasks on the relevant case management system, database or programme are updated where required and that all team files are in good order and in accordance with agreed practice
  • Handling and collecting data from case handlers
  • Undertake file opening procedures ensuring all aspects of the process are completed including all compliance checks, creation of letters of engagement and, where relevant, completion of the pricing and resourcing model.
  • Work collaboratively with your Team Leader and other support colleagues within your location and across the Group to provide a seamless and efficient, top quality service to the business.
  • Ensuring relevant pages of the intranet for your location, team, departments and kept uptodate.

What will I study?


The training and development part of the apprenticeship is delivered by our apprenticeship training provider Damar Learning via distance learning and through interaction with a dedicated coach assigned to you throughout the programme.

The modules you study will link to the client service area in which you undertake your apprenticeship.
