Crew training team leader is a function within our airline organisation responsible for the planning and delivering of all Crew Training.

The Crew Training team operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.


As Crew Training team leader, your focus will be to assist and train the team in the planning and delivering of all training within the Northern region.

In this role, you'll report to the Crew Training and Leave Manager.

This role is predominantly office based with flexibility to work on average one day per week remotely.

Standard houe are Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm but some flexiblity will be required around operational requirements and occasional international travel.

ABOUT THE JOB
Effectively lead, engage, coach and develop the Crew Training Team to ensure they have the knowledge, skills, and motivation to perform to a consistently high standard
Responsible for the delivery of all training requirements to operational crew, ensuring that budgetary restrictions are considered
Effective rostering, operational delivery and documentation of all pilot and cabin crew training requirements in accordance with regulatory compliance, collective agreements and company requirements
Monthly monitoring and reporting of Key Performance Indicators to determine training quality, productivity, cost and other indicative measures as required by the business
Drive continuous improvement and innovation across rostering processes and practices to deliver optimal productivity, optimisation across all roster activity, cost saving and revenue opportunities
Work closely with other Crew Planning Managers to ensure an integrated and collaborative approach to the Training Plan, operational flexibility, and cost saving initiatives, process analysis and improvement
Proactively liaise and working with Key Stakeholders across the business to provide a customer centric service that meets all their Training needs activities
Respond to cabin crew and pilot queries and feedback, actively participating in forums, providing feedback, guidance, and support whilst presenting a balanced perspective of customer service and crew planning deliverables
Attend and support Trade Union meetings as required to discuss crew training, building relationships, working with customers to understand and anticipate their needs and to enable agreements to be developed which will focus on crew productivity
Provide effective communication channels, guidance material and training packages for Key Stakeholders, Pilots and Cabin Crew to enable regular feedback, influence change and support a greater understanding of crew training
Provide feedback, training, guidance, and support to champion a service culture within Crew Training and deliver optimal performance across the team

ABOUT YOU
Ability to work under pressure; assimilate information, determine priorities, and make decisions based on sound judgement

Previous experience in a customer service-based role

Understanding of airline legal agreements would be preferable

Process and detail orientated with excellent organisational skills

Strong inter-personal and excellent communication skills, written and oral

Ability to work as part of a team

An enthusiastic ambassador of change who makes suggestions for improvement

Working knowledge of IDPS (or equivalent Crew Scheduling system)

Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
