Their thriving Contentious Insolvency function now has an opening for a Law graduate to train in this exciting field where forensic meets insolvency.
Your new roleSo what is contentious insolvency?
Insolvency is a complex field surrounding financial distress and often stemming from contentious issues including potential fraud and wrongful trading.
Businesses can be under pressure to address overdue debt and run financially viable companies.Times of pressureand economic crisis often lead to contentious issues such as potential preference payments, transactions at an undervalue/defrauding creditors, void dispositions, illegal dividends, breach of contract/warranty issues and misfeasance.
These issues are oftenonly identified once a company enters an insolvency process and require expertise in fraud, contentious insolvency and forensics.
So what will you be learning?- Bringing claims against company directors and third parties
- Obtaining interim relief remedies, including worldwide freezing injunction orders
- Identifying and litigating complex claims on behalf of creditors
- Fraud investigations
- Recovering assets from the UK and overseas identifying and recovering assets and to bring claims against those accountable for fraud, misfeasance, or breach of duty.
- Dealing with enforcement actions and local and international asset tracing
What you'll need to succeed:
