Aon is seeking Enterprise Industry Leaders across aligned to our key industries including Food & Beverage, Life Sciences, Financial Institutions, TMT and Renewable Energy for our Enterprise Client Segment.
With a focus on growth and distribution, the roles are accountable for matching industry client need with Aon solutions at scale.
These roles will collaborate with the Industry Convener/Capability leader(s) and work done in region and solution line in relation to industry specialty to ensure content, insights and innovation are implemented once.
The Industry Leader will dual report to the Global Enterprise Client Group CEO and the Global Enterprise Client Group Industry Leader.

How this opportunity is different:
The role will focus on bringing industry insights of Aon's content and capability, building our industry brand across the Enterprise sector of clients, providing feedback from clients on unmet need and ultimately the growth of revenue across the portfolio of Enterprise Clients.
The role will support, and coach Enterprise Client Leaders to grow relationships with Aon's largest global clients within the industry.
The role will also have responsibility for the retention and accelerated growth of their own clients within the industry.What the day will look like:
- Assessing current landscape within the Industry (white space, client plans, competitive view)
- Evaluating Aon's relevance (content and capability), events and white papers ensuring Enterprise Client Leaders have clarity on bringing content to clients and have insight into the gotomarket strategy in the Industry and aligning the strategy with the Regions
- Reviewing and leading pipeline for the Industry, including offensive, defensive and articulating value. Able to replicate and scale wins and use the jeopardy process to handle revenue at risk
- Partnering with the ECG Chief Commercial Officer and Industryaligned colleagues to ensure voice of the client is shared across the Industry
- Working with ECG talent development team to ensure we have sustainable tools to educate Enterprise Client Leaders how to bring industry specialty relevance to clients
- Using own network to open new buying centres and accountable for building deeper relationships working closely with Enterprise Client Leaders.
- Displaying Aon United behaviours and drive value through our current operating model
The Global Industry Leader will use the resources of our Enterprise Client Group at the centre along with the resources as part of the Office of the President.
We will hold our ECG team accountable for growth on our ECG client segments but make all materials available to the Regional industry leaders for use in the broader client approach.
The Global Industry Leader will lead with a player/coach model - leading by example by serving and growing their own clients in the industry space of some of the largest ECG clients and enabling industry-aligned ECLs to incrementally grow revenue.
- Drives global revenue growth with Enterprise Client Group industry clients through activation of industryspecific content and growth plays
- Bring the full firm's set of content and capability to the clients by industry
- Regularly convenes a global network of Enterprise Client Leaders with Industry clients to discuss and educate them on key themes, solutions, and relevant marketing campaigns
- Collates ECL client feedback on trends and unmet industry needs
- Partners with Solution Lines to position strategic solutions to enable Enterprise Client Leaders to introduce and generate new business within their clients
- Scale and replicate solutions across the enterprise client portfolio
- Partners with the direct manager of Enterprise Client Leaders to provide performance feedback throughout the year and during the annual performance review cycle in order to ensure appropriate levels of industryspecific client service.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- Shown industry-specific experience
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred, Bachelor's degree
- Industry IQ: deep knowledge and experience within the industry and ability to access Aon resources for content and solution delivery by this industry; validated understanding of the themes, trends, and issues of the industry plus an ability to match those trends and themes to relevant Aon solutions and resources
