Environmental and Sustainability Manager - Housing Association - About The Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a South Yorkshire based housing association who are looking to appoint a permanent Environmental and Sustainability Manager.

The role offers a salary of up to £34,723 per annum with flexible, agile workingand a requirement to be in the office only 2 days per week.


Environmental and Sustainability Manager - Housing Association - About The Role:

  • Responsible for coordinating the delivery of the environmental strategy, ensuring that actions are assigned and subsequently delivered with outcomes clearly recorded.
  • Provide regular strategy progress and update reports as required to a range of audiences, including EMT, Board and key stakeholders.
  • Brief and advise staff, managers and directors on green issues and sustainability as required, including internal and external policies and legislation.
  • Research and propose more sustainable ways of working as part of business practice systems reviews.
  • Develop and implement the company's net zero carbon plan.
  • Contribute to asset modelling from an energy and sustainability point of view to help inform the formulation of short, medium and long term investment plans for homes in management that is proportional to their expected remaining life.

Environmental and Sustainability Manager - Housing Association - What You Need:

  • Experience of environmental sustainability, preferably in a housing setting.
  • Highly proficient in research, data reporting including large and complex data sets and advanced analytical skills
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing key corporate strategies
  • Passionate about environmental and sustainability issues.
